At Agape Oaks, we bought our 1st Nigerian Dwarf Goats in 2004 and immediately fell in love with these wonderful little goats. Our goal is to breed excellent quality Nigerian Dwarf goats for show, milk production and pets. We're grateful to Terri Florence and Sunni Florence Milligan of Flat Rocks for allowing us to get our start with some wonderful goats and for providing us with a great education. They've had endless patience with answering questions.

This started out as Andrew's project and he saved his money for years to buy his goats. Little did I know we'd all end up hooked on these wonderful little goats. We enjoy the showing, the milking, planning the breedings and the excitement when the long awaited new kids arrive. Our goats have provided us with so much entertainment, an abundant supply of milk, lots of stress relief, and we've made so many wonderful friends because of them.. They're affectionate, funny ,and very smart- we look forward to many years of fun with them as well as goat's milk and new kids in the future.

We share our 3 1/2 acres of paradise, nestled under towering oak trees with our expanding herd of Nigerian Dwarf Goats, a few La Mancha and Mini Mancha goats, Great Pyrenees dogs  & a llama who guard the goats, 1 Belgian Malinois & a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

I keep getting asked what Agape Oaks means. Agapē (3 syllables, from Greek), means divine unconditional self-sacrificing love. It's the love shown in John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life . God has shown us the amazing love in so many ways- including this wonderful herd of goats! The Oaks part is because our property is covered with magnificent oak trees

We're members of AGS, ADGA & ANDDA with most of our goats registered in both AGS & ADGA.

This is our second year on 305 day DHI milk test with both ADGA & AGS. We've enjoyed seeing the results & will continue DHI. For 2008 we added linear appraisal as another tool to evaluate our herd.

Our goats health is very important to us. We test routinely for CAE - most recent test was Dec 2007. As I feel that a combination of dam & bottle raising provides the best for our kids that's how we've chosen to raise them. We will raise a kid on CAE prevention who's been reserved upon request. We feed our goats the best coastal and alfalfa hay available along with grain, kelp and loose minerals.
